I hear occasionally about a player who levels one character and only one character. When I hear of these rare cases, my brain literally cannot process it (also math and the Jonas Brothers). The rest of us have multitudes of characters with multitudes of bags carrying multitudes of [Buzzard Talons]. No, I don't know why I keep picking them up. That is a whole entire post for another day. Regardless, it is next to impossible to keep track of all that information on multiple characters. The problem is only compounded when you start to get multiple high level characters. And there is nothing more annoying then logging just to see if your level 11 priest has any [Linen Cloth].
This is where Altoholic steps in to save my sanity. This mod remembers everything! The mod is written and developed by Thaoky and it is very well designed. This mod appears quite daunting at first glance but is fairly simple in its execution. Altoholic does the job of multiple mods and does so in one convenient package. So lets get down to it and I will show you my favorite parts.
1. The Home Screen
The account summary section is a basic overview of all your characters that includes information such as gold, level, rest percentage, and time played so that you can see how much of your life you have wasted...uhh I mean used productively. The financial report is quite helpful in that I always forget who has my money.
2. Skills Section
This section is one I use probably more then any other part. It list the skills of each of your characters and the level they have attained in each one. But wait, there's more! When you hover over a skill, Altoholic has a built in tradeskill leveling guide to help you streamline your trade leveling experience. This is a great and helpful addition to an already fantastic mod. It does however start to falter towards the higher end skill levels but I assume it will be completed in upcoming updates.
3. The Search Tab
This tab is the biggest reason to pick up this mod. This tab will give you the ability to search all the inventories of all your alts at once using a Auction House style to display the results. This is great because now if I want to find that stack of Linen Cloth that I know I had on some alt, it is just a quick search and there it is. I can't explain how helpful this is. I have actually lost items; no joke. Honestly, I packed a stack of [Elixir of Dream Vision] away 2 years ago and I just found them 2 days ago. Not good.
There are so many features to this mod that I could go on for six more posts. It has guild banks and account tracking as well as a very nice achievement tracker to name a few. There are several mods out there that do this similar thing but I have not found any that are as extensive and well rounded as this. Also remember that you must log on to each of your characters to allow the mod to collect the data. You can pick up the mod here or here. Both of these sites provide a donation link that I encourage you all to use if you enjoy the mod.
